On 10^th  and 11^th  June the Big Dutch Students Championship (GNSK) took place in Eindhoven. During those two days there were different races to score points for a team classification. On Saturday there was a prologue and a team sprint. The next day there was a team time trial and a race. The women’s team (Lotte, Sophie, Maud, Ires and Ella) and the men’s team (Robbin, Dennis, Yoram, Ruben and Jannes) finished both on the 4^th place. Unfortunately they both missed the podium, but there were podium places during the different races. The women’s team finished 3^rd in the team sprint and Robbin won the race on Sunday.

Last Saturday the first students cup of the year was held and a big delegation of DM travelled to Delft to participate. The races took place on a flat parcour of RWV de Spartaan. The first success of the day was in the woman race. SophieVon and SophieVanB were in the breakaway and SophieVon was  close to the victory, but she became 2^nd and SophieVan finished as 6^th. Also Lieske (8^th) and debutant Ella (15^th) performed well.

In the non-licence men race it didn’t go as planned. Ruben, Yoram and Jannes tried multiple times to get in a breakaway, but they didn’t succeed and they even didn’t made it to the finish. Besides, Frank also got a nice DNF. The only who did a decent job was Tom with his 8^th place.

The second success of the day was in the licence men race, where Lars finished as 2^nd after riding the whole race in the breakaway. Besides, Dennis (9^th ) finished in a small group in front of the peloton, Robbin (14^th ) finished in the peloton and Jake had also a DNF.

Sunday, January 29th Ella, Tom and Lars participated in the national Dutch students championships cyclocross in Tilburg. In her first cyclocross race Ella finished 6th in the woman race. Tom, who also rode his first cyclocross race, finished 11th in the non-licence men category. The best result of the day came from Lars, who became 3rd in the licence men category!
